Which is the best content management system

March 10, 2007 · Print This Article

At UK Webmaster forums, members have been discussing features a good Content Management System should have, this lead to one of the most difficult questions to answer when comparing products or services. The question is the age old “what is the best?” , this question was applied to CMS, this lead to UK WW members sharing their experience what could be or not be the best content management system online today.
Whether they are with one another or not, one aspect of CMS no one can argue with is the fact that there are two categories of CMS; Open Source and proprietary CMS. A sample of the list UK WW members come up with as follows:

Open Source
PostNuke
PHPNuke
Joomla
Mambo
Drupal
Typpo3
WordPress/Semiologic
OSC-CMS
DNN
XOOPS
MKportal (how did you forget that one, eh? )
WebGUI
Xaraya
PHPFusion
Scoop
MediaWiki

Proprietary
Bitrix soft
