Web Hosting for Small Business and for Blogs

October 20, 2009 · Print This Article

When you are running a business of your own, there are times when you may be contemplating putting up a website to reflect your business. You may not consider hosting of your website thinking that the business is still small, but if you do wish to go ahead, then you must have a concrete hosting plan on how to go about it. Some of the points you need to consider while doing so are:
•    The amount of hard disk space and the broadband capability that you possess?
•    The amount of money you are willing to invest in such a website hosting?
•    The number of domains that you can get for free out of the hosting plan?
You may then wish to get into the blogging sphere. With blogging, you can put your views and thoughts on web pages that will be read by many people, which will in turn facilitate more communication between the readers and you. The blog can be hosted on either sites that charge you for hosting or those which do not. Some of the sites which do not charge are:
•    Blogger
•    Word press
•    Type pad
One principal advantage that you gain while paying for hosting is that you retain total control over the functioning of the site, traffic management and the domain name.
