Yesterday one my follower asked me if it is possible to filter the rubbish tweets from useful. Looks like an interesting question for me, so I decided to make a quick tutorial for those who do not want to read all the rubbish tweets.

At first I would like to note that very often trusted Twitter users adding special tools to their blogs and accounts. And, according to me, some of them are not using them properly. For example when you browse your Twitter home page, you may notice many tweets that actually are not valuable for you. But at the same time you do not want to lose this follower. So next time you will just visually skip his tweets.

Since not many people using “Lists” feature on Twitter, I decided to show how to do that quickly:

1. Click your Twitter icon on the top right and select “Lists”.

step1

2. Click “Create new List” button

step2

3. Type your list name and description [optional]

step3

4. Once the list is created, you may start adding new people to the list by typing their names. Also you may use a hashtag to find a person if you do not know the name. After you found a person for your list, click “Settings” and “Add or remove from lists”.

step4

That is all. Now you can go to your list and read only useful tweets and not rubbish.
