Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising is one of the keys to making money from your website apart from you selling direct adverts yourself. Most webmasters favour placing third party contextual advertisements on their website via advertisement vendors who provides a code that reads the contents of the website and them places advertisement that goes with the contents of the site.
The site owner is the paid by the advertisement vendors based on the number of time the advertisement placed on his website is clicked (hence the term Pay Per Click). The advertisement vendor in turn charge the client agreed amount for each click, the vendor takes some commission and the proceeds are then passed on to the site owner.
Though various forms of PPC exists from various vendors such as Yahoo Network, AdBright and Google Inc.
