Data centre and web hosting moving to cloud computing

Amazon was the pioneer of cloud computing, Google followed very shortly and now Microsoft has jumped on the bandwagon with its announcement of the launch of Window Azure. Microsoft is going one step further in a bid to move ahead of Windows in the cloud computing realm with the recent announcement of a Multi billion pound investment in infrastructure.
Microsoft used to outsource web hosting but a web hosting become more and more crucial to software delivery, it has brought it in house and now expanding it to a new height with the proposed 22 data centres its planning to build, which was recently announce by As Microsoft’s corporate vice-president for Global Foundation Services; Debra Charpaty.
Charpaty and her group are tasked with build 20 supersize data centres that can cost about £450 million. She was quoted as saying that “We’re going to reinvent the infrastructure of our industry”.
