At UK webmaster forums, one of the most interesting introduction post are usually from UK webmasters, you will think that UK webmaster forums are the natural hangout of UK webmasters but for some reasons they mostly use US based forums. Nothing wrong with that, its just that with many UK focused and UK based webmaster forums that would be the natural home patch of UK webmasters. For this reason I have decided to compile a list of leading UK forums, not limited to webmasters only.
Webmaster Related Froums
I will not say anything about this forum because its my forum, the temptation to say its the best and so forth but I will leave the judgment to others.
If you run a UK forum please get in touch so that I can list your forum here.
Spamming
February 12, 2007
A few weeks ago, a comedian on BBC radio 4 joked that he finally traced the sources of Spam he has been receiving for a past few months urging him to enlarge, he jokingly put the source of the message to EU’s commissioner for enlargement.
Spam has come to be accepted as part of the internet experience, an undesirable part as it may be. Hardly a day go by without some unsolicited email coming into inbox asking you to buy this or that.
The unsolicited email are not the only undesirable face of spam. The is an army of spammers who target forums and blogs, posting unwanted messages and comments. In the case of forums, some of this spam comes in the form of bogus users just registering at the forum, adding a signature to their profile and never showing up at the forum again. The above issue is one of many spamming discussions going on at Webmaster Forum.

UK Webmaster Forums
February 9, 2007

UK Webmaster forums, one of the very few UK focused Webmaster forums on the web today, has recently taken steps to establishing itself as one of the leading UK forums. The forum was established a few years a go primarily as a community for discussing Webmaster related tools. It is now to broaden its appeal to extend beyond tools for webmasters to include a strong Internet business focused section which is hoped would attract new members who may not necessarily be interested in webmaster only forums the small business section discusses issues that that concerns small online business owners.
Though UK Webmaster Forums is UK focused, it attracts webmasters, search engine marketing experts and small online business owners from as far a filed as Australia, USA, Bangladesh and Canada.
One of the regular members of UK Webmaster forums, Maxseo from Australia who runs a fast growing Directory of Directory called DirStats says “I like UKWebmasterWorld ‘because it is a community of webmasters that like to share, so that we all can prosper and become better at what we do’”
As part of UK Webmaster Forum’s repositioning, the site was moved from a sub folder of Ukwebmasterworld.com to a sub domain; forums.ukwebmasterwold.com, this enables the forum to be treated as a site in its own right rather than a deep link in UKWebmasterWorld.com.
The forum, powered by vBulettin was treated to a new blue skin which keeps the default blue skin shipped out with vBulletin buy with enhancement and customisation done by UK Webmaster Forums webmaster: Mihai Popa. Popular vBulletin search engine optimisation hack from well know vBulletin optimisation experts VBSEO was applied to make the forum threads more search engine friendly.
