Global Name Registry has submitted an Internet Registry Request Service application to ICANN proposing “Limited release of initially reserved two character names. Full document can be read at ICANN website by clicking here .
This request has been welcomed by some domain name registrars whilst others seem not too pleased about it.
Nominet, the company responsible for the administration of .uk domain is consulting its members on the possible impact of Global Name Registry new request to ICANN on .uk domain name space.
